Victoria Colaluca, M.Sc., M.Psy.
Therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and work toward meaningful change. In my sessions, I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and collaborative environment where clients feel understood and supported. I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling heard and respected.
My approach is client-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs, experiences, and goals. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while also integrating elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and developmental-relational approaches. Depending on your goals, therapy may involve exploring thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns, developing emotion regulation and coping skills, strengthening relationships and communication or building greater flexibility in responding to life’s challenges.
I work with adults experiencing a range of concerns, including interpersonal and relationship difficulties, emotional dysregulation and anger, depression, trauma, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive concerns. I also support clients navigating challenges related to self-esteem, personality, eating, weight and body image, as well as attentional, developmental, and learning-related concerns. Across these areas, I approach therapy with curiosity and collaboration, considering each person within the context of their relationships, experiences, and broader life circumstances.
In addition to therapy, I assist with psychological and neuropsychological assessment services for adults, helping individuals better understand their strengths, challenges, and areas where support may be beneficial.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Clinical Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School, where I am currently completing my Doctorate of Psychology. At the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships, I am completing my practicum under the supervision of Dr. Peter Egeto, C. Psych., and Dr. Lila Hakim, C. Psych. My clinical training includes providing therapy to adolescents and adults, as well as conducting psychological and psychoeducational assessments across the lifespan.
