Throughout our lives we are frequently faced with challenges that can feel insurmountable. They can make it difficult to make sense of our thoughts, emotional reactions, and behaviours. By seeking out a therapist, you are taking an important first step to overcoming and better understanding these experiences. Understandably, finding a therapist can be a very challenging experience for many. To make this process more welcoming, my approach is grounded in compassion and cultural humility, while using the latest cutting-edge and evidence-based treatments. I will strive to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment or assumption. In our work together, I will offer a warm, collaborative space where your story can be explored safely, honestly, and with care.
Clients often come to me when navigating anxiety, trauma, or ongoing challenges related to identity, family dynamics, and self-worth. These struggles can appear in many forms — constant self-criticism, chronic worry, difficulty setting boundaries, or a deep sense of not feeling “good enough.” I am particularly interested in working with individuals who identify as perfectionists — those who are pressured to perform or achieve even when they feel overwhelmed. I understand how perfectionism can be both a coping strategy and a source of distress, and together we can work to uncover its roots and gently challenge the beliefs that sustain it. I also feel closely connected to individuals in the 2SLGBTQ+ community and those navigating intergenerational experiences within immigrant families.
In my clinical practice, I draw from various evidence-based approaches — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and somatic experiencing — to tailor the work to your unique needs and goals. These approaches complement one another by addressing the mind, body, and inner emotional world, allowing us to explore patterns and the more profound experiences that shaped them. I believe that meaningful change happens when we combine insight with felt experience, and when all parts of you feel welcome in the room.
I also draw from a rich background of educational and clinical experiences that spans over five years. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a psychometrist, which gave me meaningful experience supporting clients one-on-one. My work conducting assessments for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder deepened my understanding of how neurodiversity shapes a person’s inner world, coping strategies, and self-perception. It reinforced the importance of seeing each client within the full context of their unique experience. Prior to becoming a psychometrist, I worked in administration at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships, which introduced me to this organization and the complexities of mental healthcare. I also worked with children and families in the past, further shaping my ability to attune to diverse needs with patience and care. Today, I bring this background, along with my clinical training, into every session.
I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships, working under the supervision of Joshua Peters, Psy.D., R.P. I am completing my master’s in counselling psychology from Yorkville University, and I am continuously committed to ongoing learning, growth, and integration of current research into my practice.
Wherever you are in your healing journey, I would be honoured to walk with you.
