CFIR takes your physical and emotional care seriously

Commencing Wednesday, March 18, 2020, ALL business operations at CFIR will become virtual in response to governmental recommendations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes increasing social distancing practices as the best preventative measures.  To protect the health and safety of all individuals in our CFIR community (clients, staff, therapists), therapists at CFIR will be moving to Secure Video (video meeting) or telephone sessions for your treatment sessions.

These measures will be in place until further notice. All clients have been sent an email with further details related to this update.

Please book your session through your therapist’s online scheduler, and an email will be sent to you with further instructions.

If you are new to CFIR and would like to book an appointment, click here to complete an Intake Form online.

Centre for Interpersonal Relationships is closely monitoring the ongoing situation about COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). The emotional and physical wellbeing of everyone choosing to access CFIR’s services is our top priority. We will continue to use recommendations from local public health and government agencies to inform our decisions over the coming weeks. We will continue to contact all clients and clinicians with CFIR updates as the situation evolves.

Important Note About Telephone Sessions

For some individuals, use of Secure Video may not be possible for different reasons. Your therapist can also hold sessions by telephone.  If you prefer to have a telephone session, you may let your therapist know of your preference by one of the following ways:

1. Write the words TEL beside your name on your SuperSaas account (the online scheduler for your therapist) and ensure you are available at the telephone number associated with your booking;

2. Directly contact your therapist of your preference and ensure you send your therapist a telephone number that you will be able to attend to during the time of your session; or

3. Contact admin (Ottawa: ottawa.admin@cfir.ca; Toronto: toronto.admin@cfir.ca) and indicate that you prefer telephone sessions, and ensure that updated telephone contact information is provided.

Your therapist will call the telephone number that is provided by you at the beginning of your treatment session. For session payment, you will be sent an invoice through PayPal for your telephone session.

if you require assistance to book or cancel sessions, or are having any difficulties with Secure Video or your telephone meetings (i.e., Ottawa:  ottawa.admin@cfir.ca; Toronto: toronto.admin@cfir.ca), or by calling 1-855-779-2347).

Please note we will be experiencing delays in response time due to the magnitude of the forthcoming changes.
