Beginning a psychological evaluation can feel like a significant undertaking, and I commend your choice to start on this journey. I work as a psychometrist under the supervision of Dr. Marc Bedard, C.Psych., who has an extensive background in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults. As a psychometrist, my role involves administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests. The data obtained will offer important insights that help the psychologist complete their assessment and arrive at a diagnosis.

During your time with me, you will participate in cognitive testing that uses tools and questionnaires based on scientific research. We will also identify useful background information through a clinical interview. This will provide you with the opportunity to communicate, your personal experiences, how you may experience yourself differently, whether this is socially, attentionally, or otherwise, and to share of any challenges you are facing in your daily life. Throughout the entire assessment process, I strive to create a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel at ease during what can be a vulnerable process.

I began my academic journey at Laurentian University, where I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in French Theatre. Afterward, I completed a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology at Laurentian University. Throughout my training, I have gained practical psychometric experience, working with children and adults in various settings, including within private practices and schools. I have extensive experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations, as well as assessments for ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties, and other cognitive, developmental, and psychological concerns. My goal is to ensure that the assessment is comprehensive and accurate, and provided with compassion, while also ensuring that the people I work with feel understood.

I have also gained counseling experience through my work with the Centre Victoria pour femmes, a non-profit women’s center that offers services to female-identifying people impacted by gender-based violence. I have further developed my counseling skills by working under the supervision of psychologists in private practice settings. Additionally, I have provided mental health support as a helpline worker with the francophone crisis line, Fem’aide.
