Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed or uncertain. I want to acknowledge and commend you for taking this important step toward understanding yourself and improving your well-being. My goal is to offer a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns at your own pace and feel respected and understood throughout the therapeutic process.
In my clinical work, I provide therapy to adult individuals across a wide range of concerns. I work with clients experiencing difficulties related to mood, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships. I also support individuals navigating challenges related to academic, professional, health, and lifestyle demands. I strive to work sensitively with clients from diverse cultural, social, and personal backgrounds and to tailor therapy to each person’s unique values, goals, and lived experiences.
I have particular interests and experience in working with mood disorders, anxiety-related difficulties, obsessive-compulsive and related concerns, trauma and adjustment difficulties, and challenges related to emotion regulation and executive functioning. I also support clients working toward interpersonal, relational, health, and existential goals, including questions related to meaning, purpose, and identity.
From the first session onward, I prioritize building a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship. In our initial meetings, we will work together to clarify your concerns, identify your goals, and develop a shared understanding of what you hope to achieve through therapy. Treatment is tailored to your needs and draws on evidence-based psychological approaches to support meaningful and sustainable change over time.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. As part of my doctoral training, I am completing a clinical practicum at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships under the supervision of Dr. Dino Zuccarini, C.Psych., and doctoral residents Philip MacGregor and Danielle Baldwin.
Throughout my training, I have completed clinical practica in both university-based psychological services and private practice settings, where I have gained experience providing assessments and intervention-focused therapy to adult clients with diverse presenting concerns. Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in research focused on examining workplace violence and harassment, and the subsequent mental and physical health impacts on workers.
