The Neurodivergence Clinic offers a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for neurodivergent individuals and couples to receive client-centered evidence-based psychological services. Clinicians within the Neurodivergence Clinic are committed to neuroaffirming care – we strive to understand and support client differences, to provide clients with empowerment toward changes in support of their well-being. Our approach is strengths-based, and compassion-centred, recognizing that growth and healing happen when people feel seen, heard, and safe to be themselves.
Clinicians within the CFIR Neurodivergence Clinic are here to provide inclusive and accessible solutions to help you in building a secure, resilient self, and help strengthen your relationships. CFIR is proud to provide services to all members of our community, including individuals belonging to diverse social, cultural, racial, sexual, gender and relationship identity groups.
The Neurodivergence Clinic supports individual adults (18+) and couples.

Neurodivergence Assessments
Assessments are organized around understanding a variety of neurodifferences, including: Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), differences in learning (e.g., Learning Disorders), giftedness, and intellectual delay (e.g., Intellectual Disorder).
Our assessors can provide psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessments to help understand neurodivergence, and related functioning. The assessments can be organized to support academic functioning, to provide workplace accommodations, to support treatment decisions (e.g., psychotherapy, occupational therapy, to assist medication prescribers), or to support disability related needs.
A listing and approximate costs across many of the assessment services can be found by clicking here. CFIR also offers Reduced Cost ADHD and ASD Psychodiagnostic Assessments, which are completed with a doctoral resident, under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Individual Therapy
Our psychologists, psychotherapists, doctoral residents, and counsellors are trained and skilled in providing different types of psychological treatments, adapted for you, through a neuroaffirming framework, and in a sensory-aware environment. Our approach is focused on building genuine, caring, and collaborative relationships with clients – strong working relationships are seen as the key to growth.
Our experienced therapists recognize that each person has strengths, unique qualities, and particular needs. They will work with you to support your individual differences. Our therapists respect the diverse backgrounds of neurodiverse clients, to ensure that any approach is inclusive, and accessible.
Our therapists offer a range of psychotherapy services tailored to meet the unique needs of each neurodivergent client. Clinicians will collaborate with you, to integrate evidence-based neuroaffirming therapy approaches to support personal growth, emotional well-being, to support individual sensory profiles, and strengthen interpersonal connection needs.Our team offers confidential, compassionate, and caring support that recognizes and respects diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Couples Therapy
Our psychologists, psychotherapists, doctoral residents, and counsellors are trained to provide confidential, compassionate, and caring neuroaffirming therapeutic relationship — one that creates a sense of safety and respect for each partner’s individual communication, sensory, and emotional needs.
Our couples therapy is tailored for relationships in which one or both partners are neurodivergent. We help you with your current couple relationship by supporting you to:
- Deepen emotional and physical connection – to strengthen emotional and physical closeness and intimacy, and shared understanding, with care to sensory or communication differences that support mutual comfort.
- Restore and sustain trust – to help heal from emotional injuries, breaches of privacy difficulties with trusting self or other.
- Enhance communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution – hone strategies that honour different communication and sensory styles, helping you navigate difficult conversations about daily issues and relationships, or moments of misunderstanding that arise from differences in communication or social processing.
- Strengthen co-parenting or shared caregiving: to help your couple develop clear and flexible parenting approaches, manage transitions, and build teamwork around routines and responsibilities.
- Navigate separation or relationship transitions with care – when relationships change, we can support you in maintaining respect, clear communication, and healthy co-parenting or new relationship communication and boundaries.
NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback
NeurOptimal® is a cutting-edge form of Dynamical Neurofeedback® designed to support your brain’s natural ability to self-regulate. It provides real-time feedback to your brain, helping it become aware of its own activity. This allows your nervous system to naturally adjust and self-correct, and return to a more stable, flexible, and optimal state.
NeurOptimal® supports emotional and sensory regulation by assisting the brain in responding more flexibly to internal and external stimuli. It can help improve transitions and adjusting to changes, reduce stress responses, and build resilience in the face of sensory overwhelm. NeurOptimal® can also support with focus, impulse control, sustained attention, working memory, and overall cognitive flexibility. It may also promote relaxation, emotional balance, and greater resilience in the face of daily challenges.

ADHD and Executive Functioning Skills Coaching
Adult Executive Functioning Skills Coaching for the neurodiverse person or otherwise, is a structured and forward-thinking service that uses principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you get started on tasks, stay focused, and follow through with your intentions and deadlines. Whether you’re trying to finish household chores, complete school assignments, complete deliverables at work, or reach big personal goals, this coaching can help give you practical strategies you can use in everyday life.
Our coaching process is designed to support real progress. Our clinicians will work with you to break down goals into clear, manageable steps, brainstorm personalized strategies, and regularly check in to reflect on what works—and what doesn’t. This approach to coaching helps individuals stay on track, build momentum, and helps to support people make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
Whether you’re aiming to improve focus, manage time better, or take action on long-term plans, coaching can offer you structure, support, and accountability to achieve your goals.
