Life can present us with a multitude of hurdles – whether it’s grappling with personal insecurities, navigating relationship complexities, or managing the weight of daily stressors. Taking the step toward therapy is a bold decision toward self-discovery and growth, and I’m here to support you through this journey. As a psychotherapist, my focus is on empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and clarity.
I have gained experience working in multiple psychotherapy settings in Canada as well as in Switzerland, assisting individuals coping with depression, anxiety, general stress and burnout, obsessive-compulsive disorder, interpersonal and relational challenges, and low self-esteem. Utilising an integrative approach, I draw on several therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Through an integrative approach, I aim to tailor treatments to your specific needs and concerns. I aspire to create a secure, non-judgemental environment, where you will find support and encouragement. I am dedicated to assisting you during challenging moments, offering resources, and commemorating achievements throughout your therapeutic journey.
I firmly believe that therapy is a collaborative journey – one where your strengths and aspirations are at the forefront. Together, we’ll work on developing a deeper understanding of yourself, honing your strengths, and cultivating resilience to tackle life’s hurdles more effectively. Your journey towards healing and growth is unique, and I am dedicated to supporting you in this transformative process.
As we start our initial sessions together, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. It’s an opportunity for us to begin the therapeutic process collaboratively, exploring the challenges you’re facing and understanding your goals for therapy. I encourage open and honest communication as we delve into your experiences, thoughts, and emotions related to the issues bringing you here. Together, we’ll work on identifying patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that might be impacting your well-being. These early sessions are about establishing a strong foundation, building trust, and crafting a tailored plan that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to address your concerns effectively. You can expect a supportive environment where we focus on your unique needs and work toward achievable objectives. Through this process, we’ll equip you with practical tools and strategies to foster positive change and facilitate personal growth.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London in the United Kingdom and my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Basel in Switzerland. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). As a psychotherapist at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships, I provide individual psychotherapy for adults under the supervision of Roja Vivekanand, R.P.
