In individual therapy, I work with adults who are experiencing difficulties related to anxiety, stress, depression, negative emotions, emotion regulation, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, self-esteem, parenting, life transitions, work-life balance, stress, parenting, and self-development.
In our sessions, my goal is to support you to live the life you want to live and become the person you want to become. As a therapist, I value authenticity, connection, and compassion, so it’s important that we can create a space where you feel you can be yourself, without judgment, as we work together to identify, clarify, and ultimately achieve your goals.
Using a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, we will work explore your values, priorities, and strengths to figure out how we can integrate them into your healing journey.
Primarily, I practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also apply elements of Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-based approaches when appropriate. I adopt a flexible approach to meet clients’ individual needs and treatment goals and am able to offer sessions in English and Hindi.
Over the last ten years, I have provided counselling and psychotherapy in community mental health, schools and non-profits organizations. I have extensive experience in supporting children, adolescents, and adults experiencing complex mental health challenges and provided crisis intervention, suicide prevention and resource navigation for clients. I have facilitated many mental health related workshops, psycho education groups and professional development sessions.
Outside of therapy, I love travelling, photography, listening to music, doing art and craft and reading
I am currently registered as Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
