Mane Kara-Yakoubian, M.A.

Sometimes we notice deterioration in the way we attend to, process, and make use of information, without any clear signs of why this might be. Declines in cognitive performance can stem from something as mundane as a poor night’s sleep, to events as serious as catastrophic accidents. Under the supervision of Dr. Marc Bedard, C. Psych, I will be conducting comprehensive neuropsychological and psychodiagnostics assessments. I have previously worked and trained at various sites, including The Willow Centre, The Downtown Psychology Clinic, Baycrest Hospital, Community Head Injury Resource Services, and St. Michael’s Hospital, where I has conducted assessments and provided therapy services. I am dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming space for adults to cultivate curiosity, self-awareness, and meaningful growth.

I earned my M.A. at Toronto Metropolitan University and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. My doctoral research, funded by a $15,000 Ontario Graduate Scholarship and $110,000 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), explores how younger and older adults engage in information search when navigating moral dilemmas.
