Seeking the support of a therapist to navigate through challenges is an act of great courage. I strive to create a space where my clients feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings. I am here to support you in resolving your challenges, and to help you develop greater resilience and self-acceptance.
I work with individual and couple clients who are experiencing a range of psychological and relationship difficulties, including anxiety and phobias, depression, grief, the effects of trauma, substance use, career challenges, and personal and professional interpersonal difficulties. I work with clients to increase their self-awareness, identify their strengths, and build new skills to increase their capacity to overcome future struggles.
During our initial meeting together, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and work to set goals for our time together. A complete, scientifically-based assessment will be conducted to help us better understand your challenges; this will serve to guide the focus of our sessions. I work from an evidence-based and integrated therapeutic approach where I will draw on elements of mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs.
I have completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a therapist at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships under the supervision of Dr. Dino Zuccarini, C. Psych, where I see individual adult and couple clients. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am also a yoga and meditation teacher. As a result, I offer a unique perspective to the mind, body and spirit connection, and its role in healing and transformation.
