I provide psychotherapy to adults: individuals and couples, to help them overcome their problems through compassion, empowerment, and building new skills. I work with clients struggling with depression and mood difficulties, anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, and issues related to identity. I provide services for a wide range of mental health issues that include: stress management, interpersonal relationship issues, personal crises, trauma, and personality disorders.
We are autonomous beings, and I believe in enhancing an individual’s psychological flexibility. My practice is geared toward providing a therapeutic environment, free of shame and judgment, to help you achieve emotional, psychological, and relationship well-being. I practice in a respectful and safe space for clients of diverse cultures, sexual orientations and identities.
Working from an integrated therapeutic approach, I use various treatment models and tailor my sessions to your unique needs. Some of the modalities I integrate are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT), and Psychodynamic/Attachment-Based Approaches.
In our initial session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking counselling. Focusing on your unique experience, you share what you are comfortable to do so, and on your own terms. In our next session, we will continue to explore your issue, and through the use of psychological theories, and scientifically-based assessment, we will collaborate to develop a treatment plan that is based on your unique needs. This plan will be tailored to your needs and embrace your personal strengths.
