Camille Bandola, B.Sc.
Throughout our lives, we develop strategies to manage and deal with stressful events as well as distressing thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It takes a lot of courage to admit we are overwhelmed and our usually helpful coping strategies are no longer working. Seeking professional help is the first step towards change and healing, and I commend you for reaching out for help!
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults struggling with issues such as anxiety and stress, depression, emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, trauma, interpersonal difficulties and low self-esteem. Throughout my clinical experiences, I have built a significant interest in supporting individuals who face difficulties in their relationship with themselves and others in the aftermath of traumatic or overwhelming life experiences.
My approach to treatment is compassionate, authentic and collaborative. I work with clients to understand their difficulties, set tangible goals and provide a treatment tailored to their needs. In our first meetings together, we will work to understand your current difficulties and your therapeutic goals and will conduct a scientific-based assessment. Throughout therapy we will together work to reach your goals using an integrative approach to therapy, which involves using various effective approaches to therapy tailored to meet your unique needs and difficulties.
I am currently in the fourth year of my doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Université du Québec en Outaouais. I have completed previous clinical placements at the Integrated Health and Social Services Centre (CISSSO) and at UQO’s Psychology Services Clinic where I provided psychological assessment and treatment to youth, families and adults going through difficult life situations or struggling with mental health issues. In addition to my clinical work, I have a strong interest in research and teaching; I presented my doctoral research findings in several national and international congresses and taught a course in Human Development: Childhood and Adolescenceat UQO.
At the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships (CFIR), I am a Counsellor working under the supervision of Dr. Dino Zuccarini, C.Psych.
